I/S RenoNord, located in Aalborg in the northern part of Jutland, have initiated a project to increase the district heat output from Unit 4 by installing a compressor heat pump connected to the existing flue gas condenser.
For that, the existing flue gas condenser and condensate recirculation system shall be modified to be able to cool flue gas after the condenser further down to a nominal temperature of 30°C and transfer the recovered heat to a new heat exchanger connected to the heat pump.
