The agreement applies to the library system for Frosta Library. Frosta library is a combination library, with responsibility for both the school library and public library. It is therefore important for us to have good solutions that can facilitate our work and that are user friendly both for us and for our borrowers: • A professional image base, where borrowers/users can help gather information and keep their database up-to-date (leave comments directly on the digital form by the picture record). • Web based system that is intuitive for all users • Self-service units with the use of RFID, which they started to use already in 2002, which has now become a requirement • Features such as a national loan card, national transport scheme and the possibility for a more open library • A separate app for borrowers that i.a. makes it easier to see which books are available in the library. Bibliotek-Systemer AS, which is located in Larvik, negotiates and operates the library system Bibliofil. The tenderer is an established company that has delivered a library system since 1988. They know Norwegian laws and policies, and are also familiar with how the library world in Norway works. They offer annual user meetings and regular information to customers. Bibliophile is a cloud-based library system, and with it you can do all the library tasks in the browser. That is, you always have your library system available, no matter where you are. In order to gain access to Bibliofil, the librarian needs a device with an updated browser, such as desktop pCs, tablets or smartphones. Frosta municipality has received information and tenders for the conversion and establishment of Bibliofil and has assessed the market. Frosta municipality has determined that only Bibliotek-systemer AS can deliver what we require. Trøndelag County Library, the libraries in the sixth form colleges in Trøndelag, Levanger library, Steinkjer library and Malvik/Vikhammer library are among the libraries that use this system and they are very satisfied. Meråker, Tydal and Selbu are also transferring to Bibliofil. For Frosta municipality's part, which has a small library, it is important to have the same library system that the cooperating libraries in the Værnes region have. Then they can collaborate on courses and support each other in the transition. Frosta municipality therefore intends to enter into a contract with the mentioned tenderer for 6 years, with an option for 1+1+1+1 year extension.
