The agreement includes the lease of 1 da Vinci Xi surgical robot for Helse Bergen HF. The surgical robot shall be used for minimally invasive advanced gynaecological surgery, gastrointestinal surgery, colonectal surgery, urological surgery and thorax surgery. The estimated total cost for the maximum contract period is EUR 1,002,000, consisting of a lease cost/user fee for the system, service and estimated cost for the necessary equipment dependent consumables. The contract has been signed without a prior competition in accordance with the procurement regulations § 13-4 letter b no. 2, because the procurement concerns services that only a particular supplier can deliver because competition is impossible for technical reasons. Helse Bergen HF needs a surgical robot with, among other things, the following functions, which can be controlled directly from the surgeon console: - Integrated stapling with the possibility of greater mobility for safe and secure placement of vital structures. - Compatibility with mobile/movable operating tables for operative functionalities, in the form of redocking or adjustment of patient positioning during the operation. The patient table moves with the surgical robot's arms, which shortens the operating time. The contracting authority ́s studies show that these are technical functionalities that are currently only fulfilled by Da Vinci Xi surgical robot from Intuitive Surgical Sarl. The agreement is a temporary extension of Helse Bergen HF's existing lease agreement, and the extension is valid until a new agreement is signed, or for a maximum of 1 year. A new procurement process is planned during the agreement period with a view to a longer term agreement.
