Sykehusinnkjøp HF has, on behalf of Helse Stavanger HF, entered into an agreement with Intuitive Surgical Sarl for the hire of 1 da Vinci X surgical robot. The contract ́s maximum length is 7 years, but the contract can be terminated and the surgical robot will be returned at no cost. The agreement comprises hire/use charges for a complete system (surgical robot with single-console), SimNow simulator, hand-held camera, full service, training of new users and introduction to robot-assisted procedures. The agreement also includes an option for moving the surgical robot to the new hospital and e-learning programme. Equipment dependent consumables (instruments and accessories) shall be purchased separately on the existing framework agreement 601199, which through an amendment agreement has been expanded to also include the new surgical robot. The total value of the procurement, including all of the above, is estimated to EUR 3.5 million excluding VAT, based on a procedure target agreed between the parties.
