VR-Yhtymä Oyj / VR-Group Plc (hereinafter also "VR" or "contracting entity") starts with this procurement notice and the related invitation to participate in a procurement procedure for the procurement of VR Group's General and Product Liability Insurance.
The object of the procurement is General and Product Liability Insurance for the contracting entity. Procurement is arranged for General and Product Liability Insurance cover for Policyholder, its subsidiaries and controlled, affiliated and associated companies and VR pension fund and foundations. Policyholder is VR-Group Plc.
The preliminary description of the procurement is attached to this invitation to participate. The description and related documentation will be specified during negotiations and the final subject-matter will be described in the final invitation to tender.
The total sum insured is estimated at EUR 75,000,000 - EUR 100,000,000. The policy will consist of a primary layer and excess layers, and it can include a different insurer in each layer.
The contracting entity selects one or more suppliers. The number of selected suppliers will be specified during the negotiations. The number of selected suppliers will be announced in the final invitation to tender. More detailed insurance limits and deductibles are included in the final invitation to tender.
The procurement will be carried out by means of negotiated procedure. The Finnish Act on Procurements and Concession Contracts of Entities Operating in the Water and Energy Supply, Transport and Postal Services Sector 1398/2016 (later "Act on Public Contracts in the Utilities sector") applies to this procurement. A candidate must fulfil all suitability requirements set in this notice and its appendices in order to be qualified as a tenderer to the procurement procedure. All candidates fulfilling the suitability requirements will be selected as tenderers to the procurement procedure.
All requirements for the procurement, as well as the contract terms, will be defined during the procurement procedure. All final requirements will be presented in the final invitation to tender.
The first Insurance period is estimated to commence 1st December 2023. The policy period shall be 12 months fixed-term.
