Statsbygg is constructing the Norwegian Ocean Technology Centre (NHTS) at Tyholt in Trondheim.
The ocean basin is being constructed for hydrodynamic tests with waves, currents, and wind. This basin will measure 60 x 50 m, and will be 14 metres deep. The current system – CS consists of a large number of axial pumps and different elements that will control the water and give the correct current quality. The package for the flow conditioning are together called K661-02 CS Guides-Vanes-Screens (GVS). Sintef Ocean is responsible for the hydrodynamic design, whilst the rest of the delivery will include the production, transport, and installation of these elements.
