Rana Municipality is situated in Nordland County and with its 4,463 km2 is Norway's 4th largest municipality in area. The town of Mo i Rana is the centre of Rana Municipality. The municipality has just under 26,000 inhabitants, which makes it the third largest municipality north of Trondheim in Norway.
Rana Municipality has approx. 2,200 employees, distributed between approx. 1,800 man labour years. The municipality is one of the region's largest employers. Mo i rana is the population centre of Helgeland, and the urban centre for a surrounding area the size of Østfold, Vestfold and Akershus.
The purpose of the procurement is to enter into a contract for the delivery of snow ploughing services during the 2023/2024 and 2024/2025 snow ploughing seasons, with an option for the 2025/2026 snow ploughing season in the following areas:
- Stupforsmo
- Storvollvegen
- Bustnes
