The subject of this tender is to carry out field surveys and conduct the related data collection and analysis in order to implement Malta’s Marine Monitoring Programme (2nd cycle) for Descriptor D1 Biodiversity – Benthic Habitats, in terms of selected aspects of the monitoring programmes for Littoral rock and biogenic reef, Infralittoral Sediment, Circalittoral Sediment and Posidonia oceanica; in line with the requirements of the EU Water Framework Directive 2000/60/EC and the EU Marine Strategy Framework Directive 2008/56/EC.
