II.1.4) Trumpas aprašymas:

The service contract will support the continuation of the current Low Carbon and Circular Economy Business Action in Canada. The scope of the project will be similar, a direct award to the current service provider is proposed in accordance with the contract notice provisions published for the ongoing contract, in the case the negotiation is sucessful. The design of the action will include the lessons learnt during the first phase of the contract. Synergies will be promoted with other EU projects in Canada supporting EU-Canada clean tech activities. The Specific Objective of this action are: 1. to establish long-term SMEs and small mid-caps business partnerships in the areas of low carbon and circular economy between the EU and Canada. 2. to positioning the EU in Canada as a leader in providing innovative clean tech solutions and support EU economic diplomacy. The Outputs to be delivered by this action contributing to the corresponding Specific Objectives are: Contributing to Specific Objective number 1: 1.1 - Improved market intelligence by mapping and prioritization of clean tech sectors and needs. 1.2 - Support to European cleantech innovators to access the Canadian market (through support to business matchmaking activities, networking and tailored technical assistance during the whole cycle to facilitate business transactions). 1.3- Economic, climate and environmental impact measured. Contributing to Specific Objective number 2: 2.1- Organisation of clean tech events in Canada. 2.2- Support the participation of the EU in key clean-tech events in Canada. Activities relating to Output 1.1 - Update mapping report produced under the first phase of LCBA. - Specific sectorial or horizontal studies. - Design knowledge material. - Extensive reach out to potential Canadian buyers. - Communication and visibility activities Activities relating to Output 1.2 - Deliver calls for expressions of interest and direct targeting activities to select European innovators based on needs identified. - Organise matchmaking activities. - Provide Technical Assistance to companies to support concrete business transactions. - Measure the economic, climate and environment impact of the business transactions supported by the Action. - Networking, communication and visibility activities - Update and populate the LCBA Canada webpage Activities relating to Output 2.1: - Organize clean tech events in Canada to create awareness of the project and to support EU green and economic diplomacy efforts. - Communication and visibility activities. - Market intelligence provided to the EU Delegation as required.
