The Purchaser has identified three potential wind power project areas in the vicinity of the Hellisheiði Geothermal power station, located about 35 minutes outside of Reykjavík and 1 hour from the Keflavík International Airport. The three project areas (Lyklafell and Dyravegur in the north and Lambafell in the south) are depicted in the overview map below. In order to validate the wind conditions and resources within these areas the Purchaser intends to procure up to three fully functioning turnkey measurement systems (measurement mast and/or lidar) suitable for high quality wind measurements in accordance with Icelandic law, industry standard and industry best practices.
