Avinor (the Contracting Authority) is approximately 2,800 employees who together run 43 airports in Norway – and ensure that almost 50 million passengers get safely up in the air and back down. Avinor is an important part of making aviation greener and sustainable in the long term. We work closely with environmental organisations and are vital in the development of sustainable aeronauturs and electric aircrafts. This is decisive for our survival, and an amazingly exciting area that deals with innovation and collaboration with many exciting partners. We aim to be fossil-free by 2030! Avinor is planning to procure new "self-propelled mechanical sand recorders" and would, in this connection, want feedback from suppliers. The contracting authority is aware that such machines are available in electric versions/zero emissions, but then in a vacuuming and not mechanical variant. It is particularly relevant to hear from tenderers how we can as far as possible approach Avinor's overall targets, but without limitating the necessary quality of the equipment we need. As a starting point, it is only relevant with a small number of machines, but a framework agreement is wanted for the extraction of several machines when needed. A draft of the requirement specifications is attached to this market survey. In short, the need for self-propelled mechanical sand recorders is for use at Norwegian airports. The main assignments will be recording sand and general sweeping of all of the airport's areas. Some of these areas are somewhat difficult to access and consist of, among other things, curbs that shall be passed. Note that the Contracting Authority already has an existing agreement on small suction sand absorbers (2.2m3). The offered machines shall have separate dirt containers with volume from 5m3 an upwards for the need in the coming procurement.
