EUMM Georgia is obligated to provide Health Insurance Cover for all Local Staff under the General Service Conditions of Local staff employed by EUMM Georgia. The current contract for the provision of Health Insurance Cover to the EUMM-employed Local Staff expires on 14 December 2024. The duration of this new contract will be for 24 months from 15 December 2024 until 14 December 2026 with a possible 24-months extension from 15 December 2026 until 14 December 2028. The new Health Insurance Cover will be for 117 Local Staff the current budgeted strength plus additional local staff posts, which might be requested and approved for the next four years, and an estimated six temporary Local Staff who might be employed to cover maternity leave, six months each. It should be noted that the total number of EUMM Local Staff is not guaranteed and could change at any time.
