DALO is considering publishing a future tender for the supply and sustainment of an advanced sigthing system (also called "FCS" - Fire Control System), able to cover several weapon platforms, including 84mm recoilles rifle (hereunder CG M4), 12.7mm heavy machine guns (HMG) and 40mm automatic grenade launchers (hereunder H&K GMG).
Full compatibility with the SAAB Dynamics AB Carl-Gustaf M4 system (including FIREBOLT technology) is in this case a must-have. The offered FCS must also be able to provide automated ballistic calculation functionality allowing for engaging static and moving targets with different weapons and in differnt situations (from a static position, from a vehicle/vessel/aircraft) and at the weapons' effective ranges.
Due to the system's specific interaction with other systems, it is expected that the Supplier will not only be able to meet the technical requirements (mostly rooted in the desired performance across diferent use patterns), but that they will also be able to guarantee integration with systems such as indoor simulators already in use by the Danish Defence (GSIMS from Thales). Sustainment of DALO's existing legacy fleet of in-service FCS (Aimpoint FCS14 RE) may also be the part of the tender.
DALO is therefore seeking information in order to prepare for the possible tender.
