The police need to have a very good overview of the media coverage of the police in all media at all times. A solid and tailored system for media monitoring shall contribute to this. The overview will give the police an understanding of how the police are portrayed in the media, and thus contribute to increasing the precision of the police communication work.
The police need knowledge of movements in the media that can affect the police's reputation. The chosen media monitoring service shall therefore detect relevant cases at an early stage.
The service shall systematically monitor the mention of the police in the media and present the media picture in a relevant way. The delivery shall provide a continual update of the news, and form the basis for daily media management and analyses.
