- high-end research-level 3-tesla system for smooth and user-friendly operation, providing improvements in the current system (Siemens MAGNETOM Skyra) with at least the following new features:
- update of the system to cover at least 64 RF channels
- high-end image reconstruction computers
- AI/intelligent methods in image reconstruction
- dual monitors for the acquisition workplace
- advanced host computer
- possibility to use 3rd party algorithms in image reconstruction
- possibility to connect 3rd party devices for receiving images (real-time) and controlling the MR exam measurements
- new 64-channel head-neck coil (open design for enabling simultaneous EEG-measurements)
- modern flexible coils (2x large and 1x small)
- new 18-channel body coil
- dockable/movable table, coil storage cart, and vacuum cushions for subject/patient positioning
- existing RF coils at ANI must be functional or replaced with equivalents so that they work with the upgraded system (head, body, flex, and loop coils)
- optical to electrical trigger converter (for e.g. fMRI purposes)
- possible required RF-shielded room modifications during installation as well as new LED-lights that replace the old halogen-based lighting system of the room
- must be installed using the existing doorways to the RF-shielded room
