+++ English version below +++ Der Wettbewerb „Forschungsplattform zur Untersuchung von Desinformation in der virtuellen Realität“ (FoUnD-VR) hat die Erstellung einer Plattform (bspw. XR-Testumgebung) zur Erforschung von Desinformation in virtuellen Umgebungen zum Ziel. Als virtuelle Umgebungen werden neue, über Extended Reality (VR, AR, XR) begehbare digitale Räume verstanden (Metaverse, Omniverse, Citiverse), in denen Individuen mit anderen Menschen, Organisationen oder Institutionen in Interaktion treten. Durch die der Technologie innewohnenden audiovisuellen und haptischen Interaktionsmöglichkeiten entstehen einzigartige Formen der Desinformation, zu denen es aufgrund der Neuartigkeit dieser virtuellen Räume noch keine Forschung gibt. Die virtuelle Laborumgebung soll daher erstmalig die Erforschung der Verbreitung von Desinformation in neuartigen virtuellen Räumen ermöglichen. Das angestrebte Technology Readiness Level zum Projektende liegt bei 4. Am 03. Februar 2026 von 9:00 – 12 Uhr, führt die Cyberagentur ein virtuelles Informations- und Partnering-Event durch. Ziel der Veranstaltung ist, das Forschungsvorhaben vorzustellen, Expertinnen und Experten aus den Bereichen XR-Technologie und Desinformation mit Blick auf die potenzielle Bildung von Bietergemeinschaften/Konsortien miteinander zu vernetzen sowie über den Ausschreibungsprozess zu informieren. Virtual environments are understood to be new digital spaces (metaverse, omniverse, citiverse) that can be accessed via extended reality (VR, AR, XR) and in which individuals interact with other people, organizations, or institutions. The audiovisual and haptic interaction possibilities inherent in the technology give rise to unique forms of disinformation, which have not yet been researched due to the novelty of these virtual spaces. The virtual laboratory environment will therefore enable research into the spread of disinformation in novel virtual spaces for the first time. The target technology readiness level at the end of the project is 4. On February 3, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., the Cyberagentur will hold a virtual information and partnering event.
